We continue to support people who have their email on our server by providing the various settings below and resetting passwords as needed, but encourage them to move to one of the recommended providers. Please consider these options as it will allow you to have a better email service than the basic one provided with your hosting.
Step 1 - Which server is your email on?
We have 2 Cpanel based servers. These servers offer the same functionality, however one has its own ssl certificate, the other doesn't. The server your site is on affects the settings you use.

Testing the email address and password provided by the user
You can check if the username (always their email address) and password is correct (to save a bag full of time) by clicking on this link and attempting to log into the servers web mail system. If you cannot log in using the credentials provided by the client, please do not hesitate to call us on 0800 933 374 to request a reset.

Only once you have confirmed these work for the account you are setting up, please then proceed with the settings below.

Password:Use the email account’s password - call 0800 933 374 to request a reset - please remember they may have it set up on their mobile phone or other computers that will need to be sorted.

IMAP Port: 993
POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Server:s4.h5.co.nz
SMTP Port: 465 -Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.
Non-SSL Settings
(NOT Recommended)

Password:Use the email account’s password - call 0800 933 374 to request a reset - please remember they may have it set up on their mobile phone or other computers that will need to be sorted.
Incoming Server:mail.the domain name
IMAP Port: 143
POP3 Port: 110
Outgoing Server:mail.the domain name
SMTP Port: 25 - Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.
Do not use the s4.h5.co.nz addess with non secure settings as it will not work
We do not wish customers to use IMAP as this stores email on the server that is not backed up and the customer has a false sense of security about retaining their email. Also, their email takes up a lot of storage space and they may be charged for extra storage.
